State Rep. Alfred Williams, D-Baton Rouge, will seek the 19th Judicial District Court in Baton Rouge. He is running against the incumbent Judge Trudy White, D-Baton Rouge, and new comer Gideon Carter, D-Baton Rouge.
Williams has helped spearhead compromise legislation on Workers’ Compensation while serving on the House Labor Committee. He has also been a voice of reason while serving on the House Civil Law Committee.
Early indicators show that community leaders and the business community are leaning toward supporting Williams in this three-person race.
